Originally founded in 2018 as Pit of Plagues, Kyusai Music was relaunched in early 2026 after being acquired by Kyusai Media. Despite the new look and name, the core mission remains the same, including retaining the sole founding member, Aleksha McLoughlin, who remains as Editor-in-Chief/Founder.
Kyusai Music is the place for all aspects of rock and metal music to be covered, including reviews, features, and other long-form content, such as ranking lists that go over an artist’s entire discography in detail.
If you’re a fan of metal music, you’ve probably read something on this site in its early inception. Thank you for reading over the years; with a new name and revitalized focus, Kyusai Music will continue to champion obscure, smaller metal artists, as well as going over the latest releases from the larger acts in the business, too.
